Do you have Attention Splatter?



Recently I landed on this site blog that made me wonder if I have attention splatter.  I sometimes am all over the board with my ideas and doing more than one project at a time..(lots if truth be told). Here is an excerpt that spoke to me:

Example:  “I intend to get clear about the next steps I’m taking in my life with health, lifestyle, my relationship, and career. Oh, and I also want to lose weightmake more money, move somewhere else and write a novel.”


I call this “Attention Splatter.”  And the problem with it is this:
When you’re splattered, you never experience completion or success in ANYTHING.

Here’s what’s wild, though.  When you focus on one single intention, often the other things you want will begin to manifest effortlessly.  (OR you come to realize that you no longer want all those things!)

Be willing to be unimpressive and boring.  Start with just one thing

How would you like to live in calmness with a since of deep relaxation? 

It's about slowing down and finding that peace within. When you are peaceful the world around of you can be crazy and you will feel calm and relaxed. What if you could get relief from being triggered? Wouldn't it be great to be able to calm yourself immediately? To take you power back, shift your energy and emotions? How would you like to manage your stressful moments? It doesn't mean that you won't get trigger once in a while, but with practice it will be fewer and far between.

Sometimes its hard to get your mind off of the things that are stressing or disturbing you. What if you could release those triggers and nip them in the bud? So you are more and more able to deal with the challenges that come your way. 

To be in the world but not of the world. Living in Peace & Calmness so you have more quality of life and can help others. Here is a process that is good to practice daily. Every time there you catch yourself feeling... worried...concerned...angry...fearful... grief... or negative self talk... immediately start practicing the following process.

Take a moment and focus on something you want to release or shift...
On a scale from 0-10 how strong is that feeling?
Now just for a moment welcome those feels... could you just allow them to be... just for now...
Now could you just begin to let it go?... just for now... could you?...
Feel what ever comes up... don't control it, just allow the feels and thoughts to be.
Would you let it go?... would you just set it down... or let it  dissolve .. just for now...
When?...
Now what ever comes up is perfect.
and repeat...
focus on the issue... Now just for a moment welcome those feels... could you just allow them to be... just for now...
Now just for a moment could you begin to let it go?... just let it dissolve...feel what ever comes up...
Would you ... could...let it go?...just set it down... or let it dissolve ... just for now... let it go... let it go...
When?...
Repeat (5-30 x's) Check in and on a scale of 0-10 how do you feel?  you feel lighter and more relaxed...
Say to yourself ...Yes...Yes... Yes...Yes... Yes... take a deep breathe... and R-E-L-A-X...

Do One 'Good For Your Body' Thing Each and Every Day




How does one go about initializing one's sense of self esteem or self-confidence? Here's a great place to begin...

Do one 'good for your body' thing each and every day. This is the quickest fix I know to make you feel better about yourself and your world. And if that is happening, things get better. It doesn't have to be hard. Choose one of these things or find another--just make it short and sweet.
  1. Do 10 sit-ups each morning before you get dressed.
  2. Take a walk at lunch time.
  3. Use a treadmill or a mini-trampoline while watching TV.
  4. Make your bed before you leave the house.
  5. Clean the kitchen sink before you leave the house.
  6. Pick up the mess before you go to bed.
  7. Write a thank you note every day. Thank you for...because..  To a family member, a client, a customer, or a co-worker.
The principle is that it is not nearly so important WHAT you do. The important part is that you establish a discipline that makes you feel like you've accomplished something and that you have kept your word to yourself. And that my friend...is Self-Confidence in the truest sense!
