Your beliefs and negative self talk reinforces your self-medicating. Every time you say “I need a cigarette” "It’s too hard to stop smoking” “I just don't think I’m strong enough to stop” you are reinforcing those thoughts and feelings and programming your mind and body to crave cigarettes. Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between your imagine and what we call reality, the subconscious experiences them both as real.
